About Us

 While shooting is a serious business and gun ownership is a big responsibility, our training is empowering (and fun!) - not intimidating. 

Other instructors may cater to larger class sizes, but we know that isn’t for everyone.  At Kraken Arms, we focus on individual and small group training to create a relaxed and low-key yet safe and controlled learning environment.  

Our friendly and approachable instructors work to de-mystify firearms for the complete beginner, build skills and confidence for those looking to improve, and provide more advanced training for those students ready to level up to more complex topics.

Our lead instructor is a retired military officer with over 25 years of firearms and shooting experience. He has trained, supervised, and directed the employment of armed U.S. and Allied military units on four continents. He is a USCCA Certified Concealed Carry and Home Defense Instructor, NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, Rifle Instructor, Range Safety Officer, active competitive shooter, and has boldly pioneered the new field of canine small arms training (just kidding on that last part).
